keep ( kēp ): to retain possession of

Keep is a self-hosted personal document hub built with SvelteKit, Bun, and SQLite.

It stores and organizes important files — paystubs, bank statements, and similar recurring documents — that would otherwise be scattered across email attachments and downloads folders.

Documents are organized hierarchically by **source** (employer, bank, etc.) and **date**.

Quick Start

# Start the app in the background
docker compose up -d --build

# View logs
docker compose logs -f

# Stop the app
docker compose down

If using OrbStack, the app will then be available at: https://keep.local

It automatically restarts if it crashes (restart: unless-stopped).

Data

All data is stored in the Docker volume keep-data (mounted at /data inside the container).
